MY FAVORITE TO DO LIST APP

I am a list kind of guy. If I am going to get something done, or remember it, I need to write it down on a list. And I am encouraged to get even more done by the simple joy of knocking something off of that list. And ever since the iPhone came out, I have been on the hunt for the best TO DO list app available. If you search the app store, there are hundreds of options for to do lists. There's Clear, Evernote, any.DO, Astrid, Remember The Milk and Wunderlist. I could keep going on and on. I've downloaded and tried all of these, and with all the conveniences and mobility that the iPhone provides, I thought my productivity would get that much better! But even after all these options that I have tried, my favorite to do list app is still the old fashioned pen and paper method. It's easy, its reliable, and it's tactile.

Here are my PRO TIPS on keeping a to do list.
1. Keep a list at all times.
2. Carry this list at all times.
3. Keep track of every detail for all the projects you are working on. This includes: phone numbers, emails, websites, dates, times, names, etc.

One really great side note about keeping a paper to do list is that it becomes a living record of your future and your past. It's like a journal. You can see the things you have accomplished, and can see what your future holds.

What's your favorite method for to do listing?

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Mom, you're the greatest! Thanks for always being there for me and loving me like no other. I am proud to call you my mom and I hope you know how much I love and appreciate you and everything you do for our family. From always being there to pick me up from school, wearing your flower hat and cooking hot dogs for the marching band and yelling "Tuba, Tuba Tuba!" To loving and accepting my fiance Erin into our family and caring for her like she was your own. Your love extends beyond measure. Thanks for being you and being a great mom.

I love you.

Your Son,

Living in the country has been a desire of mine for a while now. I think it's the appeal of the simple life. Or maybe it's the challenge of self-reliance that living in the country presents. So when I came across the website Free Cabin Porn, it was over. It's a blog dedicated to sharing beautiful photos of cabins from all over the world. It inspires me so much. Head over there and you will fall in love.

A THOUGHT FROM JOHN WESLEY

I wanted to share with you some words that have stuck around with me for a very long time. They come from John Wesley. If you're not familiar with Wesley, he was a preacher and teacher in the late 1700's. Wesley is largely credited, along with his brother Charles Wesley, as founding the Methodist movement. Being that I was raised as a United Methodist, I heard about this guy a lot. And that's not a bad thing. He had good things to say.

So what did a guy from the 1700's say that has stuck with me this long? This.

“Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as ever you can.”

How motivating and inspiring is that? Do all the good you can to everyone at all times. This would be world changing if everyone was onboard with this idea. Instead of being cut-throat, mean and hurtful, we could have a world full of people doing good. And it's good for good's sake. It doesn't have to have religious undertones. You can just be good despite your beliefs.

Personally, this is at my core. This is how I was raised and I feel like it's part of me to be like this. When I see somebody that needs help, I am motivated to help, just because it's good and right. If more people were like this, imagine the world. I know I am not perfect, and I do hurt and neglect people. But how can we shift our mindset to this?

So what are your thoughts? Do you do good at all times to all people?
